"It's tail-waggin' good!"

On Thursday morning, we got up, packed and left the hostel.  We drove into Athlone, ate breakfast at a little restaurant on the River Shonnon called JacoBites.  Then we went out taking pictures in the town.  The River Shannon is beautiful here, as you can see below:

From Athlone, we headed south about noon toward Cork.  The roads were 2-lane roads, and went through the towns and villages along the way just as a US highway might here.  Lots of sights and beauty encountered.  We got some on film which is below:

We got to Cork in the rainy mid-to-late afternoon, checked into the Leeside Apartments, parked the car in the parking deck of the apartments, unloaded and settled in our room.  I tuned the dulcimer which must have felt neglected with all the tromping through fields, other things we had done, and driving - meaning we weren't playing music.  After that we went to supper, then got ready for the session in Glamire that night.
