Of Things To Come...

"Of Things To Come..." (Cat# CD001) is Rick Davis's debut CD.  A recording of bare-bones hammered dulcimer music, most of this CD is just what you'd hear Rick playing at a Farmer's Market on a Saturday, or down near the Tennessee River waterfront, for instance.  It's not full of fancy or clever production techniques (not that Rick dislikes those), but it is full of good ole tunes played on the hammered dulcimer.  The selection of tunes represents different types of music Rick currently plays:  Traditional music from America (Old-Time), Ireland, and Scotland, and a couple of his own original tunes thrown into the mix.  Some tracks include one or two other parts on dulcimer to give just a hint of arrangements to come on later CDs involving other instruments.  But for now, it's bare-bones dulcimer – a taste "Of Things To Come..."
